The blotter entitled “The Elephant Rider” is a commission by the CCPC to reimagine the artwork designed for the groups logo ( by Billy Barnette & Nicholas Scott Smith) the artwork is based upon the Clutch title track of their third full length album entitled Elephant Riders. This piece of blotter art features the Clutch Concert Poster Collectors stylized elephant redone in a way that only Mark Dean Veca can do and finished off with a black dither pattern in the background. The artwork is intended to hang in a diamond configuration and is designed to be the perfect companion to your favorite Clutch and Primus Veca poster (the only one to be exact). The Image is 7.5x7.5in square with a .25 inch border on all four sides. The blotter is then perforated into a series of tiny squares making for an authentic piece of blotter art which is offset printed in vegetable based pigmentation and presented to you as a commemoration of two years of friendship and companionship within the group we all love and dare to call a family, or Clutch Calvary. Here is to many more years of clutch collecting to come.
